This is a tape of Beatles covers that I made for my dad for Father's Day '96.

When I was 7, 8, 9 years old, I used to go home after school and record songs on my parents' boomboxes. I would sing or play into the first boombox, then play the tape back and sing along while recording on a second boombox. I'd repeat this back to the first boombox to add a third harmony. I compiled my "best work" at the time into this tape and gave it to my dad.

Doing this kind of ear training at such a young age absolutely re-scrambled my brain in the best way. Thanks to Pablo for making me Beatles mixtapes as a kid, to my folks for lending me their Beatles lyric book (and Beatles obsession), and to Sammy for singing backups on "Twist and Shout".
